Qualifying Rounds
Qualifying for the British Captains’ Tournament 2008 will take place at 4 venues across the U.K during September and October 2008.
These are: Leeds GC (Cobble Hall, Yorkshire), Menzies Cambridgeshire GC (Cambridge),
Sand Martins GC (Wokingham, Berkshire) and Marriot Tudor Park (Maidstone, Kent).
The qualifying rounds will be an
18 hole
stableford competition
with the
Captain
scoring on
each hole,
along with the
best
of the
other
3 team
members.
The Captains
will
play off
FULL
HANDICAP
and the
3 team
members will
play
off ¾ handicap.
Open to all serving Captains,
both gentlemen and ladies,
the winning teams from
each
qualifying
venue
will be invited to
Portugal in
December
2008 to contest
the
Grand Finale with one practice
round at the Oceânico Laguna course,
followed by a
36 holes
Stableford Competition
over 2 days, on the
Oceânico Pinhal and
Oceânico Millenium courses.
The Grand Finale
The Grand Finale is FREE to all Captains and team members, with the winning teams receiving return flights to Faro in December courtesy of Monarch Airlines, accommodation at the
4* Hotel Vila Galé Ampalius, 3 rounds of golf on three different
courses: Oceânico Laguna, Oceânico Pinhal and Oceânico Millenium , Prize Presentation
Dinner and a hire car for 4 golfers and their clubs. |
